Everyone always asks, What did we do as an interior finish on our Privilege catamaran…
Restoring Jessica’s 1977 International Scout II
This project started out as just me replacing the clutch and re fastening the rusted out body back to the frame to make it somewhat safe to drive. But, then it took a different turn of events after I pulled it apart with my excavator.
The restoration project was completed in 13 weeks in my spare time in the summers over a time span of 3 years.
8 weeks the first year for all the sheet metal work and mechanicals.
3 weeks the second year for paint and assembly, after this we started driving it daily
2 weeks the 3rd year for the finishing touches and custom built accessories to make the Scout more usable for what we needed
The only job I contracted out was the Sand Blasting. All other work was done without access to a garage and limited to only the tools I brought with me from Florida each summer.
